After months of political commercials, debates and campaigning, the election is finally behind us. Some results were predictable and some less so. Now, we are faced with the task of sorting out what happened and more importantly what it means to the dairy community. We’ll discuss the results in Wisconsin and at the federal level. Then, we will discuss what the changes caused by this election mean to our key issues and how they will impact DBA and Edge’s lobbying efforts in 2019.
Presenters
John Holevoet: He is the director of government affairs for the Dairy Business Association and Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative. John oversees the policy efforts of both organizations and works with a team of professionals to lobby on behalf of dairy farmers in Madison and Washington, D.C.
Sarah Hubbart: She is a director at Michael Torrey & Associates (MTA) in Washington, D.C. She is part of the MTA team that provides contract lobbying services for Edge in our nation’s capital. Prior to joining MTA, she worked for the Animal Agriculture Alliance, the National Association of Conservation Districts and as a journalist.
This webinar is sponsored by DBA, Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative and Compeer Financial.
