It’s critical that the dairy community speaks up so that decision-makers at all levels of government treat our farmers and processors fairly. DBA carries a collective voice to town halls, county boardrooms, state capitols and Congress, but our members’ individual voices are the loudest. One easy and effective way to get involved is through DBA’s Speak Out! campaigns. We encourage you to participate by clicking on the items featured below. Additional opportunities for individuals and farms:

• Contact your local elected officials or participate in local government meetings
  
• Engage your state assemblyperson or senator on issues important to dairy farming, either alone or with others from your area as part of a DBA Legislative Engagement Team
  
• Offer educational opportunities or tours on your farm to engage officials who aren’t that familiar with agriculture
  
• Run as a candidate for a public office
  
• Participate in DBA’s webinars and seminars on legal and regulatory changes
