This program will provide leaders with the technical knowledge, critical thinking and interpersonal skills to inspire their teams, and to develop and maintain a culture of care.
Topics Covered:
Producing High Quality Milk
Keeping up with Milking Equipment
Building a Successful Team Culture
Day 1 starts by understanding various learning styles to meet the learning needs of the team, and explore ideas on hiring, training, development and retention of employees. We also learn how to handle cows calmly and efficiently, the anatomy and physiology of milk production, and the importance of mastitis prevention and management to pro-duce high quality milk.
Day 2 will continue building a strong leadership foundation by understanding what successful leaders have in com-mon and how to apply these characteristics when working with dairy teams to maintain an engaged and collaborative team. We will also share easy-to-implement tools to monitor and evaluate udder health. Participants also gain under-standing of milking equipment and identification of common problems.
