The Dairy Business Association was honored to host a few regional membership meetings during February and early this month.
Our two February meetings, one held in Waunakee and the other held in Fond du Lac were joint meetings between DBA and the Dairy Business Milk Marketing Cooperative. Both gatherings were generously sponsored by DBA Prestigious member Badgerland Financial.
These co-hosted sessions featured information about the direction of the organizations and the Dairy Strong Sustainability Alliance. DBA’s director of government affairs, John Holevoet, discussed legislative work around issues such as immigration, trade, water quality and quantity, farm-specific regulations and transportation funding.
This was a great opportunity for members to ask questions, voice opinions and, most importantly, learn how these issues may affect their farms. It was also a way for members and our staff to get to know one another better.
On March 2, DBA, along with sponsors Central Wisconsin Ag Services and Zoetis, welcomed members to Marshfield to learn about the veterinary feed directive and its impact on daily farm management.
Please watch for more opportunities in your area throughout the year.
Connecting with our members is a top priority at DBA. These regional member meetings provide an opportunity. We want you to be informed about the most pressing issues and to know how we are working for you.
