Tuesday, Nov. 6, is an important day. Wisconsin voters will decide several statewide races, including the governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and U.S. senator in addition to local representatives. This is your opportunity to elect pro-dairy candidates. Some important reminders:
Voting places are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Remember to take a photo ID (e.g. driver’s license) and that you must register. If you are not already registered, you can do so when you show up to vote. Proof of residence is needed. A driver’s license works if the address is current. Otherwise, take a real estate bill or utility bill.
If you won’t be able to get to the voting place on Nov. 6, and you are already registered, you can fill out an absentee ballot in advance by going to your local municipal clerk’s office or by asking for one to be mailed to you.
You can find your polling place and other information and apply for an absentee ballot at myvote.wi.gov.
