Dairy Margin Coverage Program Details

As many of you already know, the Dairy Margin Coverage (DMC) program through the USDA Farm Service Agency began signup this Monday, June 17. The signup will be open from June 17 through September 20, 2019. Our county offices have been busy this week getting folks informed about their options and signed up in the program, but any additional support that you can provide us in spreading the word would be greatly appreciated.

Informational meetings are scheduled across the state in June and July. The national FSA website has been updated with information about the program, including the current milk margins and a link to the DMC decision tool. I have attached the current DMC Fact Sheet which details how the program works and who is eligible. To view the full published rule, you can visit this link to the Federal Register.
