Proposed livestock siting changes and nitrate-focused performance standards.
Much of the regulation of farms in Wisconsin is covered by just a handful of administrative rules. These rules (ATCP 50, ATCP 51, NR 151 and NR 243) cover livestock facility siting, run-off management and CAFO operations. Efforts to change these rules are in the works right now. This informative lunch session will cover the likely timelines for these changes and the steps necessary to make them reality. Attendees will also hear how these changes could impact their farms and what role they can play in shaping these proposals.
