The presidential preference primary election in Wisconsin is coming up and we want to help you prepare.
Election Day remains set for April 7 despite the COVID-19 public health emergency. There has been no announcement that voting will be limited to mail-only.
However, the Wisconsin Elections Commission strongly recommends that voters go to https://myvote.wi.gov and request to have an absentee ballot mailed to them. You will need to upload your photo ID if you have not voted absentee before.
Please note that the deadline to register online is midnight on March 30 and the deadline to request your absentee ballot is 5 p.m. on April 2.
If you have questions contact your county or municipal clerk.
In this election, voters will select their preferred presidential candidate and elect a state Supreme Court justice, who will serve a 10-year term. Also, voters in many areas will decide on candidates for school boards, city councils and other local offices.
