Gov. Evers advises residents to stay home

Gov. Tony Evers this evening issued an executive order advising that Wisconsin residents limit public interaction to deal with a rising number of COVID-19 cases in the state.

He gave the following recommendations:

  • Limit contact to only those you live with
  • Avoid unnecessary travel and limit trips out to the essentials such as grocery shopping and getting tested for the virus
  • Cancel gatherings and plan for virtual holiday celebrations
  • Encourage friends and family to gather virtually rather than at each other’s homes
  • Allow employees to work from home whenever possible and take extra precautions to protect workers and customers
  • Support local businesses through curbside pickup, delivery and online
  • Wear a mask and keep 6 feet apart from others when out in public
