TOPICS Wisconsin policy efforts from DBA: DBA will present on the state budget process and the legislative session so far, including a look at dairy labeling, water quality initiatives, transportation funding and efforts to help dairy processors. We will share insight about the regulatory reform efforts and attempts to make digester and renewable natural gas (RNG) projects easier. We’ll finish with a discus-sion on administrative rules that are in the works, including targeted nitrate standards, the technical standard for runoff management and veterinary telemedicine.
Federal policy efforts from Edge: Edge will share insights on immigration, environmental policy, dairy labeling concerns and proposed tax changes. We will talk about our Class III Plus proposal and other efforts at better understanding milk pricing and preparing for changes to the Federal Milk Marketing Orders. Michael Torrey will also be sharing insights from inside the Beltway as our representative in Washington.
