ELECTION DAY, Tuesday April 2

Local Spring Elections & Presidential Preference Primary

The dairy community is a vital part of our state's economy and culture. From the rolling pastures to the milk processing plants, Wisconsin is known for its high-quality dairy products and the hardworking farmers who produce them. But did you know that your voice and your vote are equally essential to the continued success of our industry?

On April 2nd, Wisconsin will hold its Local Spring Election and Presidential Preference Primary. While the presidential primary is getting much attention, it is crucial not to overlook the local elections. These races directly impact our communities and can influence policies that affect our farms.

Here are a few reasons why your participation in the April 2nd election is vital:

  1. Local Impact: Local elections determine who will represent us on the county boards, city councils, and school boards. These officials make decisions that directly affect farmers, from zoning to ordinance revisions. By voting, you ensure that your interests are represented as these decisions are made.

  1. Agricultural Policy: State and federal policies have a significant impact on agriculture. Wisconsin's agricultural policies can affect everything from milk pricing to environmental regulations. By voting in the presidential primary, you have a say in who will represent our state's agricultural interests on the national stage.

  1. Community Engagement: Voting is a fundamental way to participate in our democracy. It is a chance to make your voice heard and have a say in the future of our state and country. By participating in the election, you exercise your right and take a step to improve your community and its future.

  1. Support for Dairy: Finally, voting is a way to support the dairy community. By electing officials at all levels of government who understand and support agriculture, we can ensure that the dairy community continues to thrive in Wisconsin.

Mark your calendars for April 2nd and make your voice heard - your vote matters. Together, we can make a difference for dairy in Wisconsin and our local communities.
