Congressman Gallagher is continuing Save the Bay efforts initiated by former Congressman Reid Ribble to reduce phosphorus and sediment entering NE WI lakes and streams. The damage and dead zones caused by harmful algal blooms, fed by phosphorus, are well documented. The Save the Bay team, which involves representatives from the agricultural community, universities, industries, government and nonprofits, is working to find viable ways to help reduce phosphorus levels. Through field days and other venues, the Save the Bay team wants to help you get the facts you need to make informed decisions.
